Industry Problems with Conventional Grades

  • Conductivity achieved only at very high phr (8–18 phr)
  • High filler loading → loss of impact strength, embrittlement, warpage
  • High-structure blacks → viscosity spikes in PP/PE/injection molding
  • Inconsistent surface chemistry → resistivity drift
  • Poor dispersion → hot spots of resistivity and weak mechanical zones

Rubber-grade blacks simply do not create stable, predictable conductive networks in polymer matrices.
